Swamp Jars
Some artifacts look as though they were dragged directly out of the black waters of a stagnant bayou. Crafted by Darkest Night Studios, these swamp jars bring a thick, heavy layer of southern gothic atmosphere to any space they inhabit. This is not clean, commercial Halloween decor; it is a pair of grimy, rustic relics designed to look like they have been rotting in the wetlands for decades. As shown in the pictures, each glass jar is heavily distressed with an aged, muddy patina that catches the light in a murky, diffused haze. The necks of the jars are wrapped in coarse, frayed burlap netting and bound tightly with weathered twine. Real, withered branches pierce out from the tops, while clusters of tangled, gray Spanish moss drape down the sides like decaying weeping willow branches. When lit from within, they cast an eerie, sickening amber glow that perfectly illuminates the grime caked onto the glass. Whether you are using them to light up the porch of a haunted bayou cabin, adding atmosphere to an oddities shelf, or using them as low-light set dressing for a horror project, these jars evoke a quiet, deeply unsettling backwoods dread.
